Originating in Europe, Floorball is a fun and entertaining sport that continues to grow in popularity. Major countries around the world are beginning to take part in this fast paced game, making it a truly global sport. The European Eagles are part of a growing number of clubs that play Floorball within Europe and neighbouring nations. If you’re looking for a way to keep fit year round, but the gym doesn’t interest you, and you don’t fancy a run in the snow, then Floorball is the game for you. While it shares certain similarities with field and ice hockey, it is its own game with its own set of rules. The European Eagles are always happy to accept new players, no matter what you’re skill level. Beginners to experienced players are all welcome, as our main goal is to promote and build the sport by allowing everyone a chance at playing. While previous experience of Floorball or various forms of hockey can be helpful, it is not vital. The aim of Floorball is to have fun and enjoy yourself, and winning is an added bonus. If you are at all interested, then we encourage you to come along to a training session and join us on the court. The only way we can further establish the sport is if we can build up our team, and the only way we can do that is to recruit new players. Spectators and supporters are also encouraged to attend both practice sessions and matches. We love to see people taking an interest in Floorball, even if you don’t want to take to the court. If you do join the European Eagles, you’ll have a chance to meet with other European clubs when we play tournaments and local matches. Children, men and women are all welcome to play, so you’ll find a great mix of people at every match. As our club continues to grow, so will our match participation. If you’re looking for a sport that is steadily gaining popularity, and provides the opportunity to help shape the game, then Floorball is what you’re looking for. Through dedication and a bit of hard work, mixed with a lot of fun, we hope to build on our skill level, and increase the amount of participants, both within our club, and throughout Europe. If you want to be part of the process, then we urge you to join us. Whether as a spectator, coach, player or referee, we’d love your support in promoting both our team, and the game of Floorball. Don’t be afraid to give this game a try. Even if you’re never heard of the sport before, the basics are simple to pick up, and we’re happy for you to learn as you go. The nature of the game means that there’s little chance of any injuries occurring, which makes it a great sport for all levels. We’d love for you to join us as we try to grow our team, and the sport.
